Inspection Engineer
About Cyberhawk Innovations
Cyberhawk Innovations provides specialist aerial inspection services for a range of industrial clients. By providing a unique service utilising a combination of qualified inspection engineers and purpose built remotely operated aerial robots the company has grown rapidly over the last year and is now looking to recruit an Inspection Engineer.
The role
The role will be predominantly involve the inspection of metallic, concrete and masonry structures at refineries, power stations and industrial sites.
As a young and growing company we are looking for an inquisitive and adaptable person who can multi-task as the business develops. We require somebody who is highly IT literate and able to quickly pick up new software packages. You will quickly be given responsibility in completing all areas of projects and will be encouraged to expand the scope of the business.
This role would suit somebody who has worked in inspection or maintenance roles at refineries, power stations, offshore installations or industrial environments.
Job description
Responsibilities will include:
* Leading teams on site to complete aerial inspections
* Editing of photo images for reporting
* Writing technical reports
* Liasing with customers
* Preparing risk assessments and method statements
* Working with SHE standards
* Developing the companies inspection capabilities
* Developing innovative and interactive methods of presenting results
Skills & experience required
Skills and experience in some or all of the following:
* Inspection of industrial plant equipment such as flare stacks and chimney stacks
* Plant inspection qualifications (preferable)
* Writing technical reports
* Photo editing and photo stitching
* NDT
* Understanding of the design and manufacture of industrial plant equipment and assets
* Understanding of materials, corrosion, defects and welding of industrial plant equipment
* Understanding of codes, legislation and standards for of industrial plant equipment
* Thermography (preferable)

- Experienced with radio controlled helicopters (minimum SAA Bronze or equivalent)
- Video and photograph editing skills
- IT Competency
- Full driving Licence
Surveyors (full time, part time or contract opportunities available)
- Extraction of topographic information from aerial photographs
- Extraction of elevation data from stereo pairs
- Operation of GPS
- Aerial Mapping
- Photogrammetry
- Georectification
- Orthorectification
- Air photo mosaics
- 3D modelling generation from stereo images
Plant & Civil Inspectors (full time, part time or contract opportunities available)
Plant Inspectors
- Oil & Gas background with knowledge of flare systems
- Excellent report writing skills essential
- CSWIP API or ASME qualified
- Knowledge or interest in photography would be considered an asset
Civil Inspectors
- Experienced & familiar with bridge, dam & chimney structural surveys
- Excellent report writing skills essential
- HNC in Civil Engineering
- Knowledge or interest in photography would be considered an asset
Sales Engineers (full time opportunities)
A proven sales track record with experience in some or all of the following:
- Selling technical products or services
- Working in engineering industries
- Marketing
- Representing companies at trade shows, exhibitions & conferences
- Making presentations and providing demonstrations
- Completing regular sales activity and result reports.
Office Manager (part time/full time opportunities)
Efficient, organized and confident individual with experience in:
- Accounting
- Purchasing
- Invoicing
