Topographic Land & Volumetric Surveys

Cyberhawk Innovations use purpose built remotely operated aerial vehicles (ROAVs) to create detailed topographic land surveys. Our customers are often planning or in the process of constructing major projects including buildings, roads and wind farms. They find that Cyberhawk’s textured 3D model enhances their planning by combining topographical data and visual aerial photographs.

Photogrammetry techniques allow us to take a series of detailed images from the air and create a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) of the site. Depending on requirements, accuracy of this 3D model can be comparable to LIDAR data. The model can be "textured" using the captured photos to give an almost real world view.

Combining state of the art ROAV technology and photogrammetric techniques, means land access problems can be avoided, large areas can be covered quickly and it avoids the need to close roads or railways.

An add-on to this service is volumetric survey. Before and after surveys of stock piles and borrow pits allows the calculation of the volume of material stored, added or removed. Customers that use this service are ports, construction, mining, and bulk storage companies.
